The discussions were aimed at improving coordination between agencies because implementation of a large-scale master plan involves multiple departments responsible for transport, infrastructure, utilities, housing, land and other urban services.
Heritage Conservation Also Part of MPD-2047 Discussions
The third consultation focused particularly on heritage conservation.
Representatives from organisations and institutions including the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Delhi Tourism, School of Planning and Architecture, INTACH, the Department of Archaeology, Indraprastha Virasat Punarvikas Nigam, Delhi Urban Arts Commission, Delhi Fire Service and the Ministry of Culture participated in the discussions.
